5 Underrated Netflix Comedy TV series

*This article is not sponsored by Netflix

If there's one thing we can all agree on, is how much Netflixing was done over the last couple of months. You may feel that you've finished the ENTIRE Netflix catalogue, but have you binge-watched these gems?

Is not a question of adding more screentime to your day or night, but to share the love of some of the most underrated shows available on the streaming platform. Something light and fun that instantly brings a smile to your face. Sounds like a dream, no? So here goes:

Just your regular sixteen-year-old fraternal twin sisters joining forces with a veteran bounty hunter. Put some Jesus love in the mix with a dash of LGTBQ love, female sexuality, guns and crazy action through the lens of two high school students. The fact the girls attend an ultra-conservative religious school makes it even funnier.

Yes, Netflix had the AUDACITY of cancelling the show after just one season, but it is worth the watch. However, my heart is still broken! Netflix did them dirty!

Derry Girls (2018- ) 2 seasons

Set in Ireland during the troubles in the 90s, here's another show focusing on a group of high school friends getting in the funniest predicaments. You REALLY don't need to be Irish to appreciate this heartwarming show, but subtitles are highly recommended. Clash of religions, family feuds, gypsies... I mean travellers, and lost dogs, this show will have you in stitches in no time.

Bonding (2018- ) 2 seaons

Bonding follows a New York City grad student moonlighting as a dominatrix who enlists her gay BFF from high school to be her assistant. The only thing I would say is that I wish the episodes were looooonger!

Norsemen (2016-2020) 3 seasons

For this one, let's travel to Norway, but rest assured the trip is worth it. Long story short, this show talks about modern problems but in a Viking setting. Basically the Monthy Python of Norway.

2 friends attempt to navigate their way through the choppy waters of their early twenties whilst simultaneously kicking the ass of some seriously gnarly demons. What could possibly go wrong? Netflix cancels it after one season and I'm still NOT over it! Bring it back!!!!!! And for those who loved Buffy, WATCH THIS ASAP! You're welcome.

Set in the Big Apple, the show follows a cynical young woman who keeps dying and returning to the party that's being thrown in her honour on that same evening. If you're in the mood for something dark but still light - cause you're not a monster! - Russian Doll is for you!

So what will you be watching tonight?
