Where to watch the 54th Super Bowl in Montreal

As you all know, tomorrow marks a historic day in the sport's industry as Miami will host the 54th Super Bowl featuring the San Francisco 49ers against the Kansas City Chiefs. Whether you are rooting for Laurent Duvernay Tardif's team or the other guys, or you are like me, can't wait to see Shakira and JLo lighting the stage on fire tomorrow since I know nothing about football, it is safe to say the entire world will be watching this epic game. Of course, plan A would be to host a Super Bowl party and have your friends over, but if this fails, I have made a list of bars in Montreal that will be showing the Super Bowl this Sunday. I may know nothing about football, but sports bars are my specialty. So here goes:

Get ready to be in awe once entering Montreal's biggest sports bar as the latter literally has a giant screen that covers two floors. For the occasion, you can buy a bucket that comes with 6 Coors Light cans for the price of 30$, if you double it, you can also get a bucket of 24 wings for free!

(514) 416-9809

1280 Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal (right by the Bell Center)

Located a street north from Taverne 1909, Biermarkt is a mecca for beer enthusiasts as the latter counts over a hundred beers mostly from Belgium, Quebec and several other countries. The choices are not what's missing. For the occasion, you can get a Liter of Grolsch for 10$.

(514) 864-7575

1221 René-Lévesque Blvd W

Another sports bar located in the middle of the downtown area is Station Des Sports. If you're more on the hunt of regular pub food and cheap beers, Station Des Sports fits right down that ally. Plus regardless of where you look, a wild TV will appear to ensure you won't miss the big game.

Next to Concordia: (514) 931-5559

2051 Sainte-Catherine W

I would say Cage aux Sports has come a VERY long wait since the chain opened back in 1984. Indeed, today the resto/bar offers elevated pub food and counts a great selection of beers. Moreover, several locations have undergone massive renovations and both locations in the heart of downtown are quite the destination for this year's Super Bowl viewing. With giant screens placed in every corner to watch the game whilst sipping on a cold pint; this calls for a celebration.

Next to the Bell Center: (514) 925-2255

1212 Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal

How about watching the Super Bowl at a Montreal microbrewery? Sounds great, isn't it? For the Super Bowl, Saint Houblon is having a bottomless beer promotion for the price of 35$ (upon reservation) or 45$ at the door. You can have up to 12 pints (it might seem little, but 12 pints in 3 hours is A LOT).

Quartier Latin: (438) 386-7271

1567 St Denis St

5414 Avenue Gatineau

Little Italy:

Think is a Western pub with a mechanical bull, fake grassed walls, and eclectic ambiance. It's that crazy.

4281 Blvd Saint-Laurent

Another sports bar that will undoubtedly show the Super Bowl and offers a great ambiance with comfy food and beer selection right at the entrance of the Village.

(514) 875-7171

200 Sainte-Catherine E

If you want to have a huge cocktail in a mason jar or eat amazing burgers (Captain Flam will always be my favorite) Belle et la Boeuf is the place! Also note their mini pogos (corn dog) is my all-time fave, thanks to their house-made mayo. But if you thought this was enough, for the occasion you can choose three of these options listed below with a pint of Budweiser for the price of 25$!!!

-Giant chicken wings ( ½ lbs) -Mini cheese-burgers -Mini gogos -Mini poutine -Onion ring -Fries -Sweet potato fries

1620 Sainte-Catherine W

Located right where the Habs used to play before moving to the Bell Center and The Beatles performed there many moons ago, the Forum has been converted to many things. For one there is a cinema, and a large sports bar counting over 30 TVs with pool and ping pong tables. So if you wish to show off your ping pong skills during commercial breaks, this is the place!

2313 Saint-Catherine W

Memories do come back whenever my mind travels back to Moose Bawr. Located at the doorsteps of Concordia University, this watering hole will present the 54th Superbowl. Word to the wise, get there early as places tend to fill up pretty early.

(514) 846-6673

1817 Sainte-Catherine

Another place that I have graced several times during my short-lived life is Abreuvoir. Located in Quartier Latin, the latter is a mecca during summer for their patio and Wednesday Comedy show specials. Yet, the place is filled with TVs, which is perfect to watch the game.

403 Ontario E

If you head about 20 meters down l'Abreuvoir, you will find Le Saint-Bock. This place offers an extensive list of house brews. With chicken wings at half of the regular price and two for one poutines, this year's Super Bowl at Le Saint Bock sounds too good to be true.

1749 St Denis St

With two locations in Le Plateau and Rosemont, Chez Baptiste offers a great array of microbrewery beers and local spirits. To celebrate the 54th Super Bowl, the place will have beers, wings, and shots on promo!

Plateau:

1045 Mont-Royal Ave E

Masson:

3014 Masson Street

So where will you be watching the game on Sunday?
